Latest update on Julia: Currently Julia Dykov is in Moscow, in infectious hospital. Doctors propose that the possible reason for her health failure could be brain toxoplasmosis. The prescribed treatment will last for 42 days.
UPDATE from Nikolai Dukov from October 24:
2 Corinthians 8:14 "Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal."
The Dukov family would like to thank everyone who has generously and sacrificially donated for the medical fund of the family. Julia was dismissed earlier today from the Military hospital in Sofia because the doctors have declared that they will not perform the surgery there. Explanation has not been given to the family about this decision.
I just received an update from Nikolai, Julia’s husband. The doctors have decided to not perform the surgery at the Military hospital in Sofia where Julia is currently hospitalized.
Julia’s surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, October 15. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for her and her family
Update: Yesterday we raised the initial amount the hospital charged the family for, which was 500 Euros or a little over $650 USD. That amount covered the initial tests the hospital performed to find out what was causing Julia's paralysis and loss of speech. The family had been told that a surgery would be performed today, if they paid the initial bill.
UPDATE: The doctors have found two tumors on Julia's brain. One is deeply embedded in the brain, so they will not operate on it. The other one will be operated on tomorrow, Thursday, October 11.
It has been confirmed through the tests that Julia has a tumor on the brain which will be operated on this Thursday. Please continue to pray for the family and for provision for all of the medical expenses connected to Julia’s condition.
Julia and her husband, Nikolai, are missionaries from Russia to Bulgaria helping people who are addicted to be set free. They have three young boys ages 4, 6 and 14.
