Michele passed at 10:57 Monday March 13. Funeral services will be this Saturday March 18th in Gainesville Florida.

Shelly was an amazing, beautiful person who fought this terrible disease with such bravery and dignity. She will be forever loved and missed. Our hearts go out to her family.

Shelly was blessed to have so much family support. Her sister Kathy assumed nursing duties so that Shelly could receive care in her home rather than the hospital. She took on resolving the insurance issues. Kathy and Dean very generously opened their home to visiting family. Their special Christmas gathering will be remembered forever as one of our last memories with Shelly.

Loretta and John put their life on hold to come be with Shelly. Retzy (Loretta) provided countless hours of care helping Shelly with daily activities. She sat and reminisced the best of times and read to her when Shelly could no longer communicate.

Shane came to be with his mom as much as possible. He brought his beautiful children to see Shelly. Shelly's face lit up every time her precious "Shaner" walked into the room. He spent many hours lying in bed with her comforting her with love.

Steve was strong for his wife even though his heart was shattered. He did everything he could possibly do for Shelly. He was at her side for her last breath. His love for her is such a beautiful thing to see. Steve, our hearts go out to you. You are loved and are not alone.

Lastly, Shelly's friends were and continue to be amazing. I don't think anyone missed any meals when Shelly was home. Friends brought so many wonderfully nutritious meals over. They sat with her so Steve could work. They helped Shelly with her Christmas decorations. Her friends were and continue to be a blessing from God.

I loved Shelly deeply and miss her terribly already.

With great sadness we have come to accept that Shelly will be going into hospice. Shelly has had a really hard time with infectious and has not tolerated low dose chemotherapy. Shelly continues to be surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Michele is still taking one day at a time. She always has a smile on her face. Shane came for a week long visit. Friends and family make this tough time better. Thanks to everyone for the love and prayers.

Michele has developed an infection at her surgery site. She had to have emergency surgery on Wednesday. Shelly, we all are wishing you well and hope you are feeling better soon.

Loretta went home for a few days yesterday so Michele is staying with a Kathy in Orlando. Michele's doctor appointments were very discouraging. We. Are all very sad.

Michele is still very weak and dizzy at times. Her surgical wound is healing nicely. We won't have much of an update until Michele meets with her doctors on November 21st. She has to heal from her surgery before any other therapy can be considered. Let's keep praying.

Strength in numbers..

Kathy, Loretta and Michele have always been very close. They will fight this together every step of the way.

We are almost to our 5,000 dollar goal. Truth is, Michele and Steve will need much more than that. We welcome small donations as well. Every little bit counts and adds up! God bless

Steve has been trying to get back to work. Michele's sister Retzy is staying with Michele and taking great care of her. Michele is getting out of bed as much as possible but feeling very weak and having problems with nausea. Steve and Michele are amazed at the generosity of their friends and family. Neighbors have been bringing meals. They are feeling very loved and blessed to have so much love and support. Thank you to everyone.

Michele has been diagnosed with an inoperable stage four brain tumor. Initially she was told she has two weeks to live. Michele and Steve have shown such grace and bravery during this difficult time. Michele starts every day with love surrounded by her family and hope for a miracle. We are looking into research study programs that may improve her prognosis.

I am starting this campaign to give all Michelle and Steves friends and family a place to help. Any donation would be gratefully accepted. It is my goal to cover their expenses for a few months so that they can fully focus on their best options without the stress of finance.
