The sweet kitty seen here has been a "resident" of our apartment complex for at least 10 years. During this time, many of us living here have looked out for her by providing food, water, and sometimes if allowed a cheek rub or two. Unfortunately, management has now forbidden anyone from feeding her and has threatened us if we're caught doing so. She has been yelled at and run from the only home she's known. She is a sweet girl and a loner. She avoids other cats and confrontations at all cost. Because of this she cannot be introduced into another cat colony. Where we live we are surrounded by different feral colonies so there is no where for her to go.
The kindest solution we've found is to take her to a cat sanctuary called Fat Kitty City in El Dorado Hills. Here she will be cared for on two acres with free access to the outdoors and many different free standing shelters. This is the life she deserves, to be free of harm and constant harassment. This is a non profit sanctuary and as any pet owner knows, our fur babies can be expensive. The cost of lifetime care is $2000.
Please look into your heart and help us get this sweet girl to her new home where she can live out her senior years in peace laying in the grass and basking in the sunshine. She deserves nothing less.
Any amount is appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
