Deciding to start this page came from the love of Sam's many friends and family.
Ten days ago Sam was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare brain cancer. He underwent surgery to remove the large tumor, which was successful. As soon as he is well enough, he will enter an inpatient physical therapy program at the hospital. At that time, Sam will also begin radiation and chemotherapy to treat the remaining cancer cells in his brain and spine. It will be a long road to recovery and at this time he will be unable to work.
Sam owns his own IT business. He was too ill for a few weeks before the surgery to work and it will be several weeks before he is able to return to work. The first question he asked after waking up from surgery was, "How long has it been since I worked?" The first question he had for his oncologist when he met him the first time was, "When will I be able to go back to work?"Sam is a responsible, hardworking guy and is overly stressed about the financial challenges that go along with his illness, including medical bills, loss of income and protecting his business. Our hope is that with every donation, we are able to help alleviate undue worry and stress allowing Sam and his family to focus on fighting his cancer and getting better!
Those of you who know Sam, know he is the kind of person everyone can count on. Whether to cheer you up with his infectious laughter or singing, or to just lend a hand or a shoulder to lean on. Sam gives generously of his time and is the first to give financially to those in need. Sam is a loving and dedicated son, brother, uncle and boyfriend who would always put family and friends first. Now, Sam needs us and that is why we are reaching out to his friends to help raise money for his medical needs.
Any amount that you can donate will help tremendously and will be HUGELY appreciated! We can't thank everyone enough for taking the time to donate and to reach out to Sam, Taylor and his family.
