Ten days ago Sherry was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare brain cancer. She underwent surgery to remove the large tumor, which was successful. As soon as she is well enough, she will enter an inpatient physical therapy program at the hospital. At that time, Sherry will also begin radiation and chemotherapy to treat the remaining cancer cells in her brain and spine. It will be a long road to recovery and at this time she will be unable to work.

She owns her own IT business. She was too ill for a few weeks before the surgery to work and it will be several weeks before she is able to return to work. The first question she asked after waking up from surgery was, "How long has it been since I worked?" The first question she had for her oncologist when she met him the first time was, "When will I be able to go back to work?"Sherry is a responsible, hardworking woman and is overly stressed about the financial challenges that go along with her illness, including medical bills, loss of income and protecting her business. Our hope is that with every donation, we are able to help alleviate undue worry and stress allowing Sherry and her family to focus on fighting her cancer and getting better!

Those of you who know Sherry, know she is the kind of person everyone can count on. Whether to cheer you up with her infectious laughter or singing, or to just lend a hand or a shoulder to lean on. Sherry gives generously of her time and is the first to give financially to those in need. Sherry is a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, auntie and girlfriend who would always put family and friends first. Now, Sherry needs us and that is why we are reaching out to her friends to help raise money for her medical needs.
