As many of you may have heard our good friend Sam Norris was riding his bike legally on Shelburne Road in Burlington on April 24th when he was struck by a car. He was thrown into a tree and sustained several injuries including a broken clavicle, broken ribs, and a serious trauma to his head. He probably has his helmet to thank for his life.
Sam is a woodworking instructor and furniture-maker and will not be teaching or making furniture for some time, but we are all hopeful for a full recovery. In the meantime, we have created this fundraiser to help Sam and Cady cover their costs of living, and any home care expenses until Sam is fully back on his feet.
Sam can not accept visitors at this time, he needs to rest his injured brain. Cards are welcomed. We will also be starting a food train for Sam and Cady, details and link will follow as soon as we get it set up. (Please follow the food train as Sam and Cady have food restrictions) Gift Cards to local favorites for take out are also welcomed.
Another big part of Sam's recovery is his determination to get back on a bike. A bike that he now has to replace due to the accident. We would love to help make a new bike a reality.
