Thank you all so much for you love and support during this time. Matt and Maria are overwhelmed by the love and generosity that has been poured out to them during this heartbreaking time. Your generous financial gifts will help enormously over the next month as they grieve the loss of Emerson, and even as they start to get back to work--having this burden lightened has been such a blessing that you all have given to them. Thank you.


The prayers and so many kind words and thoughts also lift them up to know that by God's grace, they will be able to carry on during this tragic time. Please know we appreciate all of your generous and kind gestures during our loss, and "thank you" will really never be enough to let you know how significant your kindness has been. God bless.

On Monday, March 28th, Maria and Matt Trueblood said goodbye to Emerson, the miracle child that made them parents. Emerson was born with HLHS, or half a heart, and spent his life fighting for it and overcoming every battle he encountered. It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to our little buddy and hero who fought so hard in this last battle, but we take solace in knowing he has a whole heart now in heaven. His love and smile filled our hearts and our lives are forever better for being a part of his life.


This fund has been created to help alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with the loss of a child, including bereavement leave. We appreciate all the immeasurable love and support family, friends, and strangers alike have poured out for Matt and Maria and their family and we thank God for each of you that walks with us in this loss. Thank you all so much for being here for us and your support.
