This is just one simple gesture, but it is a gesture offering very tangible assistance to our friend, colleague and neighbor

Mary suffered a stroke on Tues or Wed Feb 3 or 4, by the time she was noticed missing it was Thursday

Friday February 6th I got to town to find my mom in and out of sleep. She has since communicated on her terms...mostly head nods or hand gestures. She can repeat words but doesn't do well saying her thoughts. The stubborn political advocate is silenced frown emoticon

My brothers Scott and Ken have many tough decisions to make. We have had many discussions on the best recovery for mom and she has decided to move to Reno NV where I can help continue her medical monitoring. This is where the website comes in. Moving her to Reno is not cheap nor are nursing homes because Tricare has stopped paying for her care.

Our hearts are broken and dreams are shattered. Mom was a fighter who ALWAYS spoke her mind and we pray for the day the spark will be back! Until then we pray...
