We are overwhelmed by your generosity. Thank you so much for helping our family in such a tangible way. I am currently done with two cycles out of six. I do chemo every three weeks and feel pretty crummy for about a week and a half each time. This round I was more exhausted (sleeping from 7:30 or 8 til 6:30 the next morning, plus daytime naps) but less nauseated (no puking, but lots of nausea). We were excited that Drew decided to get baptized just before my last cycle of chemo so I was feeling pretty good and able to enjoy his baptism. 
We have some prayer requests: would you please pray for my side effects (especially nausea) to abate? I also have been having more difficulty sleeping at night so please pray for restful nights. I have to admit, the last couple of days have been difficult--I'm just tired of feeling like this--so please pray for strength and perseverance as I wait for these side effects to get better. Finally, it is very important that I stay healthy and avoid sickness and of course Ava woke up feeling like she has a cold. Please pray for her to get well, for no one else to get sick and protection from illness for me.

On August 8th, 2015, Andrea was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, grade 3A. She has begun chemotherapy, which has helped to eliminate some of the pain she was experiencing from the sickness but she is still in discomfort. She is also experiencing the effects of the chemo and wants to explore alternative therapies to help manage the discomfort. This is going to cost money, on top of the prescriptions and copays that are already a part of their lives and the cost of counseling for the kids.

Andrea is currently unable to work, so financial help in all of these ways is extra appreciated.

Life comes to a halt in many ways when families face a sickness like this one. When the mother of a family is out of commission (especially an AWESOME one like Andrea), many things come to a screeching halt and help is needed in ways a lot of us cannot imagine. If it is on your heart to help the Himmelbergers out at this time, please do so! I know your help will be so greatly appreciated. Dan and Andrea are such caring, kind people and I hope that together we can provide them resources that will take the edge off of this challenging chapter in their lives.
