Even with all the cold weather...we had a great showing and got the trash picked up and all the ground leveled. Thanks to our tremendous volunteers that came in person to work and also to the hundreds of you that have donated...our hearts are just full.
I can’t believe it! Donations are pouring in. The light that our city has been shown in the news is being uplifted by the amazing people of our community supporting this campaign.! HOLY COW!!! You guys rock!
We have a goal...a big goal!
With all the empty lots around St. Louis, we want to help lead a team of volunteers to create a green, lush park for our children and community to enjoy.
We have already talked with the city and a parcel of land has been set aside for us to use.(the current structure there will be torn down within the month)
So, now we need to prepare.
From the purchase of grading the lot, adding sod, planting trees, and installing a durable play structure….we estimate that the supplies only will cost about $75,000. We have teamed up with several agencies who have committed to volunteer man hours, as well as local companies who are coming together to support our project, financially and with donations. We are very excited about doing this park project, as we are confident that it will not only be an enjoyable destination within our community, but a safe place for children and adults of all ages to enjoy. Please join us in adding value to our great city of St. Louis by donating to our park project and help us get the word out by sharing this!
