My daughter Chloe had a runny nose, cough and slight temp for about a week.  Because she wasn't getting better at home, we took her to see our doctor. After her examination, they told us she has croup and needed urgent medical attention and we needed to take her to the hospital. Her windpipe was extremely swollen so they put her on a nebuliser and medications to reduce the swelling.  They also prescribed a couple different medications for her including an inhaler.
