I don't want to give TOO many specifics.
But, we have already sent Mia to another state and she's staying at a shelter for abused women and children.
With this money already raised, we will help get her into a small apartment and help her find a job.
She is so amazed at the people that have stepped up to help her that don't even know her.

Mia is one of my best friends. She showed up on my doorstep last night with bruises all over her from her stupid boyfriend. Mia has already gone to the police station to file a report, but she needs our help.
We want to raise enough money to move Mia to another city and state away from this boyfriend so he can't find her and do this to her anymore. She has been in this abusive relationship for months and she can't get away from him. Every time she tries to break up with him, he threatens her. She doesn't have anywhere else to go.
She has family in another state and we are working on getting her into a shelter there and then help her transition to a place of her own when we can.
Please help Mia. No woman should have to live like this.
